Two roads used to access the southeast section of campus will temporarily close due to construction work.
Crews will perform utility infrastructure upgrades and extensions along Leahy Drive and Courtney Lane, near the Joyce Center and Courtney Tennis Center. (View logistics plan.) The project is being done in phases to minimize the impact to traffic.
A portion of Leahy Drive, between Rolfs Sports Recreation Center and the Joyce Center’s C parking lots, will be closed beginning Monday, June 26, and ending Saturday, July 1. There will be no through traffic in any direction where Leahy Drive intersects with Moose Krause Circle/Courtney Lane.
From Monday, July 5, to Wednesday, July 7, Courtney Lane will be partially closed from the Guglielmino Athletics Complex parking lot to just east of the Courtney Tennis Center. There will be no through traffic at Courtney Lane.
The gated parking lots at the Joyce Center along Leahy Drive as well as the Guglielmino Athletics Complex parking lot will remain open throughout both phases of the project.
Closure signs and detour routes will be clearly marked to allow for safe vehicular and pedestrian travel as well as parking, delivery and service access.
