The Hesburgh Library's Scholars Lounge, located near the east entrance.
The east entrance of the Hesburgh Library will be closed beginning June 5 as work progresses on a multi-phase renovation of the facility.
During the three-week closure, workers will make general improvements to the entryway’s exterior, including sidewalks and landscaping. The finished space will feature a look and feel that is similar to the Hesburgh Library North Plaza.
There will be no impact to bus service, vehicle access or parking in Library Circle. All other entrances to the library will remain open during this time.
The east entrance is expected to reopen on June 23, although additional exterior projects will continue in the area through early August. (View the project plan.)
