Facilities Design and Operations has scheduled exterior maintenance to Grace Hall to start on Wednesday, April 12. This will include the following:
- Masonry restoration
- Removal of existing roofing system
- Installation of new roof
- Completion time of approximately 3 1/2 to four months.
To begin the masonry restoration, the crane will be set-up at the northeast corner of the building to hoist equipment/materials up to the roof. Contractor personnel will be onsite to direct pedestrians safely around this area. This should take approximately four hours.
During the mobilization process, mason workers will place swing stages around the outside of the building to hoist equipment.
For pedestrians' safety, certain entrances will need to be closed off when there is work being done above these areas. Signage and barricades will be provided to direct people around these areas during the closures.
