McKenna Hall will undergo a two-year reconstruction, beginning this fall, to create state-of-the-art accommodations for the Notre Dame Conference Center as well as add new space for the Enrollment Division to welcome prospective students and visitors.
The expanded McKenna Hall will serve as a hub for teaching, learning and fellowship for the campus community and visitors at its current spot on Notre Dame Avenue. The location is easily accessible for the campus community, prospective students and visitors. The new building is projected to open in the fall of 2021.
The original McKenna Hall, which was retired on Monday, July 22, was built in 1966 as a conference center designed to facilitate conversation and discussion within its auditorium, open spaces, dining room, and seminar rooms.
While the new McKenna Hall is under construction, those who plan conferences and special events should continue to work with the Office of Event Management, VenueND, to utilize numerous other spaces across campus. Contact VenueND at 631-1400.
